Uli Westphal
*1980 in Bochum, Germany, is a visual artist based in Berlin. His work is exhibited internationally and published in a broad spectrum of media. Recent solo exhibitions include »Cornucopia«, Ming Studios, Boise 2014, and »Transplantation« at Stedelijk Museum Bureau, Amsterdam 2014. His work deals with the way humans perceive, depict and transform the natural world. It frequently consists of collections, simulations, animations and classification systems. These are based on actual existing phenomena or species, but rather give evidence of the development of human conceptions of nature.
